Why we at CRD have to collect your data

We at CRD Solicitors would like to give you the best possible service when working with you. To enable us to do this and communicate, we correspond either by letter, fax, email and using conveyancing portals which provide information in respect of your transaction and the servicing of your transaction

How so we at CRD collect your data

We at CRD Solicitors will do this in a number of ways, either from telephone conversations with you, either in emails, written correspondence or using our various sale/purchase/remortgage/transfer of equity questionnaires and attendance notes as a result of meetings with you. This then enables us to create your file and profile which is used in residential and commercial conveyancing transactions. We also collect information from you in respect of Wills and Probate with our Wills questionnaires and employment law matters. This will involve sometimes taking formal instructions from you in meetings at our office or at your home. This information is used to assist us at CRD Solicitors in delivering the outcome for your particular matter.

Sharing your data

We do not, at CRD Solicitors, share your personal data with any other parties other than that information required to progress your matter in sale or purchase transactions, this will be with solicitors for the buyer/seller/Landlords Management Companies and tenants in residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, or with your lender in respect of redemption of mortgages/new mortgages. Also with the HMRC Stamp Office and HM Land Registry or HM Land Charges Registry. We will also use your personal data in connection with Probate matters in applications to the Court and with compliance of preparation and filing via the Court the IHT205 and IHT400 with such information as is required as a matter of Law to be given to the Court/HMRC. Likewise in employment matters your employers/former employers and the Employment Tribunal, being HMCTS.

In order to comply with the Anti-Money Laundering requirements there may be occasions whereby information is required to be supplied to the National Crimes Agency (NCA) by Law, and/or other statutory authorities.

You have many rights regarding your personal data, including what personal data we access, why we collect your data and how long we keep your personal data for and the updating of your information.
